Cavitation Instead of Beads, from 0.1 to 150 ml

The Pulse 150 works by cavitation. Ultrasonic waves collapse microscopic bubbles in the liquid, and the energy released breaks cells in suspension, shears DNA and prepares samples for ChIP assays. There are no beads and no probe touching a solid sample, which makes it a different tool from a bead mill rather than a competing one.

With up to 150 watts, it processes 0.1 ml to 150 ml with the appropriate horn.

Everything needed to run is included: controller, transducer, temperature probe, a 6 mm titanium alloy horn and the wrenches for changing horns. A soundproof box with a sample platform is standard, which matters because an unenclosed sonicator is genuinely loud enough to make a shared lab unworkable.

Voltage versions

This instrument is supplied in two versions: DP0150 for 120 V and DP0150-E for 230 V. The two are identical apart from the power supply. Select the voltage before adding the instrument to your basket; for use in Europe that is DP0150-E.
