Angled Ceramic Bars for the BeadBlaster 96

Ceramic grinding bars are used in place of balls in the BeadBlaster 96. A bar presents an edge rather than a point of contact, and the 45-degree angle turns each impact into a shearing action rather than a straight crush.

That suits samples where a spherical ball rolls off the material instead of breaking it: fibrous plant tissue, tough skins and anything with structure that resists compression.

Two sizes are available, both in medium ceramic and both angled at 45 degrees: 3/8 by 5/8 inch and 3/8 by 7/8 inch. Supplied in packs of 100.
