Generator Probes and Spares for the D1000

Generator probes are the wearing part of a handheld homogenizer: they touch every sample, they are cleaned between runs, and they determine the volume the instrument can handle.

The saw tooth generator listed here measures 10 by 115 mm and is sized for 15 ml and 50 ml tubes, which extends the D1000 beyond the microtube range covered by the 5 mm and 7 mm generators supplied with the unit.

A saw tooth profile shears coarser material than a plain slotted stator, so it is the probe to reach for on fibrous tissue rather than on cells already in suspension.
