Three Samples, Homogenized Within 45 Seconds

The BeadBug 3 is a high-energy benchtop homogenizer for personal-scale cell disruption and lysis. Up to three samples are homogenized at once inside disposable 2 ml screw cap microtubes, most of them within 45 seconds.

An optimised mixing motion drives hardened micro-beads through the sample at high velocity. Because the beads are selected for the sample type rather than the instrument, the same unit handles material that a standard vortexer cannot break down.

Its footprint is 7 by 8 inches. That matters more than it sounds: an instrument this size does not need a shared equipment room, so it can sit at the bench where the samples are, and the disruption step stops being a walk down the corridor.

Voltage versions

This instrument is supplied in two versions: D1030 for 115 V and D1030-E for 230 V. The two are identical apart from the power supply. Select the voltage before adding the instrument to your basket; for use in Europe that is D1030-E.
