The Industry-Standard 1.40 ml Round Bottom Tube, in Bulk

The 1.40 ml round bottom tube is the volume most sample storage is built around, and this is the plain bulk version of it: non-coded, push cap, supplied loose by the case.

Buying in bulk is the cheapest way into the format. The same tube is available alphanumeric coded, as refills and pre-racked for the Micronic 96-4 Rack and the Comorack, so a lab can start here and move up to coded or racked versions without changing tube geometry or rack.

The U-bottom suits short-term storage and sample preparation, including bead homogenization, where the rounded base keeps the beads working on the sample rather than in a corner.
