0.40 ml 96-Well Plate, Round U-Bottom
A 96-well plate with round U-bottom wells of 0.40 ml. The rounded base does two things: it lets liquid mix properly when the plate is shaken, and it collects the last of the sample in one place so a tip can retrieve it instead of chasing it around a flat floor.
Well-to-well uniformity is held tight, which is what assays that compare wells against each other depend on.
