The Micronic DT500 is a desktop reader for individual sample tubes. It decodes both 1D and 2D Data-Matrix codes in under a second and works across 24, 48 and 96-well tube formats, so one reader covers the whole rack range rather than a single footprint.

It runs without software. There is nothing to install, configure or license: the reader is connected and it reads, which is what makes it practical at a bench that several people share or at a receiving desk where samples are logged in as they arrive.

A condensation guard keeps readings reliable when tubes come straight out of frozen storage, the point at which most code reading fails.
